Once your quest is built and tested, you can publish it to make it accessible to participants and share it through multiple channels.

Publishing

Publishing makes your quest live — participants can access it via its URL.
  1. Open your quest in the editor
  2. Click Publish
  3. The quest is now accessible at its URL
Publishing consumes credits from the quest’s organization. Make sure the org has sufficient credits before publishing. See Pricing for current costs.

Unpublishing

You can unpublish a quest at any time to take it offline. Existing data is preserved, but new participants can no longer join.

Sharing Your Quest

Once published, share the quest with participants: Copy the quest URL (e.g., https://usefusion.ai/quest/<guid>) and share it via email, messaging, or your study recruitment platform.

QR Code

Generate a QR code from the share modal for in-person recruitment — print it for posters, flyers, or display it at a study site.

Prolific

Use the quest URL as your Prolific study URL. Prolific’s participant ID parameters are captured automatically. See Prolific Integration for a step-by-step guide.

Collaborator Access

Collaborator access is now managed through organizations, replacing the old public-key method. To give other researchers access to manage your quest:
  1. Add them as members of the quest’s organization
  2. Assign appropriate permissions — e.g., quest.edit, quest.view_data, quest.publish
This gives you fine-grained control over what each collaborator can do.
Deprecation notice: The old method of adding collaborators via public key (from the profile page) has been replaced by organization membership. If you previously used that flow, migrate your collaborators to organization members.

Transferring Quests Between Organizations

You can move a quest from one organization to another — useful when restructuring teams or transferring ownership.
  • Requires appropriate permissions on both the source and target organizations
  • Use the quest transfer feature in the organization dashboard
